🚈 July 26th, 1943 - L.A. gets its first smog:
Our city’s first smog happened during World War II. The smog limited visibility to just three city blocks. During these tense times of war, many believed that the smog was chemical warfare from Japan. The smog made people’s eyes itch, while leaving their noses running. In short-time, we would realize that the smog was only L.A.-domestic: it was thick fog coming from the exhaust of our cars and factories

🌆 Summer Sunset Music Series starts tomorrow: Culver City will kickoff a month-long season of music, vendors, arts, food, drinks, and fun-time with family, friends and loved ones.
📍Where? Town Plaza at the Culver Steps: 9300 Culver Blvd, Culver City, 90232
📆 When? Every Thursday evening from 7pm to 9pm until August 31st.
ℹ️ Information: Seating is first come, first served basis. Small blankets and low back chairs are welcome in designated areas. Alcohol will be sold outside of the event arena, but alcoholic beverages and smoking are not permitted in concert areas.

🚦Woah, watch your speed, Stephanie! AB 645, a proposed bill, was passed by California City and State leaders yesterday. This bill would grant access for local law enforcement to install speed cameras in Los Angeles, Long Beach, and Glendale
🪙 No coins, no bitcoin, no ethereum: It looks like the City of Long Beach is going cashless soon on all of their parking meters. According to a city spokesperson, some meters are already cashless as those meters have been a testing-pilot phase. We gotta be sure that we have that friendly (but more often, not-so-friendly) plastic when we park in Long Beach
