🏃REMINDER: How’s that New Year’s Resolution coming along? If not so great, here is another reminder about the Griffith Park Run that is taking place on Sunday, February 4th. A half-marathon will take place early at 7:30am, followed by a 5K Run/Walk at 10:00am. Register today!
🛑 SCHOOL REMINDER: Another reminder to those of us that are on the road that schools are back in-session from winter break. Please be mindful of driving speeds, especially around school zones: law enforcement will be out citing drivers.

🍔 100 YEARS: The cheeseburger turns 100 this month. And to celebrate, the City of Pasadena, where the burger was invented, is hosting Cheeseburger Week from January 21st to 27th.
📜 BURGER HISTORY: Read about the cheeseburger’s origins on Route 66 and learn more about the inventor of this classic eat, H.S. Sternberger.
🍦SOUTH GATE: Twisted by Wetzel’s is now open at South Gate’s Azalea Shopping Center. This location marks the third Twisted by Wetzel. An official grand opening will take place tomorrow, Wednesday at 10am, and will feature live radio giveaways and entertainment (bringing it back, old school).
🦘 CULVER CITY: Lustig, Bernhard Mairinger’s new Australian-inflected restaurant, opened December 30th and features elegant takes on classic Australian dishes.
🍰 MORE CULVER CITY: Nothing Bundt Cakes will open up shop on Overland Avenue in Culver City. The Las Vegas cake chain now has over 500 locations.
🍳 DOWNEY: One 12 Caffe, inspired by Italian and French eats, will open the first week of March, and will serve in-house pastries, breads, and more.
🍸️ SIGNAL HILL: Shirley’s Temple in Signal Hill has been named best place to get a mocktail in the United States by Yelp.

🏢 PLAYA VISTA: Gehry-designed offices once again are moving forward on Beatrice Street in Playa Vista after the project was delayed in 2017.
🏦 SANTA MONICA: First Citizens has paid $86.7 million for a 76,900 square foot office on 2nd Street. The price comes out to $1,131 per square foot, making this purchase one of the highest office deals throughout L.A. County within the past three years.
🧢 BEVERLY HILLS: FanDuel has bought a $71 million office location on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills.
🏅2028 OLYMPICS: Los Angeles is on a mission to electrify transportation by the 2028 L.A. Olympics.

⭐️DAFOE: Actor Williem Dafoe received a Hollywood Star yesterday. The actor, known for his roles in Spider Man and The Florida Project, amongst others, received Hollywood’s 2,768th star. Watch the ceremony.
