🔑 The keys to the city are yours: The predicted winter chill will likely keep many of our neighbors indoors this weekend. So, why not take advantage of an open 405? Even if it doesn't rain and the sun stays out, you can appreciate the finer things in our city from the comfort of your own car. Catch breathtaking sights of iconic destinations like The Getty Center, Santa Monica Pier, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Who knows, you and your squad may control the keys to our city. Trust us, we’ve done this before…

🎨 March towards museums, ‘fo free!: The month of March is about to bloom, and with that comes new dates to become a patron at a variety of museums, free! To take advantage of this museum hospitality, the folks over at We Like LA have compiled a cheat sheet with a list of museums that will allow all of our neighbors to view exhibits without paying a shiny penny. From USC Pacific Asia Museum’s Global Asias Exhibition, to Family Art Day at Pepperdine University Weisman Museum on March 11th, the full cheat sheet contains curations of art for both you and yours to explore

☃️ Staying safe and sane in a wintery mix: Our beautiful area is soon expected to receive winter weather that we are not necessarily accustomed to. As such, a Frazer Park Reddit user from /r/LosAngeles posted helpful winter action items to take, providing us with a sense of reality, and those items to avoid so we do not get chased off by an eighty year old with a shotgun

🧊 Frieze, we have a festival recap for you: Artists, galleries and collectors from around the world flocked to Los Angeles for the highly-anticipated return of Frieze and Felix Art Fair. Attendance was high, with industry experts and celebrities in attendance. Tyler the Creator, Margot Robbie, and Gwyneth Paltrow were among the VIP guests. Sales were impressive, with works by Mark Bradford, Alice Neel, and Tracey Emin fetching millions. Meanwhile, Felix Art Fair offered a more intimate viewing experience at the historic Roosevelt Hotel, showcasing standout works by Tidawhitney Lek, Kayla Witt, and Alfonso Gonzalez Jr

[Reminder] 📚️ DYK: Our Libraries offer free income tax preparation and filing?: Our Los Angeles Library System offers a variety of options for those that wish to take advantage of free assistance, from the smart bookworms that know best! These options include in-person tax help, online tax help, resources for tax disputes, and more

Today’s question: What directionally-named former Los Angeles Lakers player is the silhouetted player in the NBA logo?

  1. Jerry West

  2. Shaq

  3. Lloyd Austin

  4. Frank Gallagher

We will have the answer in tomorrow’s newsletter.

🌹Guns N’ Roses sets 2023 tour: Guns N’ Roses is back and will headline stadiums, festivals, and arenas across Europe and North America, starting in Tel Aviv on June 5 and ending in Vancouver on October 16. Fans can get their tickets during the Nightrain Presale on February 22 or the general on-sale on February 24. And for those who want the VIP treatment, there are special packages available that include premium tickets, access to the Paradise City Lounge, and limited edition Guns N’ Roses merchandise. 🕹️ Blumhouse gets into gaming: Blumhouse, the powerhouse behind horror hits like Paranormal Activity, The Purge, and The Invisible Man, is expanding into the gaming world with a new subsidiary, Blumhouse Games. Headed by president Zach Wood and CFO Don Sechler, the company will partner with independent game developers to create horror-themed games for console, PC, and mobile audiences. In keeping with Blumhouse's indie-budget film strategy, the games will have budgets below $10 million to encourage innovation and creativity

✍️ We’ve been struck with excitement for this upcoming podcast: Dr. Elizabeth Rovere, PsyD, launches Wonderstruck, a first of its kind podcast that examines the wonder of being, of consciousness, and the extraordinary. A clinical psychologist, yoga teacher, Harvard Divinity School graduate, and seeker, Rovere will explore experiences of awe, and wonder through thoughtful conversations with experts and experiencers, including shamans and scientists, academics and artists. From radical visions to fire-based rituals, from pursuing a rainbow body in Tibet to finding the luminous in your everyday walk, this podcast dives deep into the what, wonder, and wow of being with levity and thoughtful curiosity. Guests include award winning comedian Russell Brand, famed podcaster Fearne Cotton, and best-selling author Dr. Dacher Keltner. The podcast will be available everywhere you get your podcasts, starting March 1st. [via our PR friends at SMITHHOUSE]

A 3-2-3 from us at CuratedLA

Starting in March, CuratedLA will be investing both time and resources to curate Los Angeles how-tos, guides, more stories from our neighbors, and original content that we find unique.

Additionally, we will start to utilize social media heavily, partnering with both local outlets, and brands.

But for us to achieve this, we will need your help.

We simply ask that you respond to this email with what type of content that you would like to see. Though, yes, we do have content in-mind, this is a community-driven project.

So, let us know what you’d like to see. Anything works.

Besides OnlyFans content.
