Christina Web, a professional dating coach, created the event Shop & Shag after noticing an odd trend of folks meeting a high-end grocery stores, staying in-touch and then smooching. Web's Shop & Shag events are hosted at all eight Erewhon Market locations found throughout Los Angeles, where an average smoothie can run you $19.00. It is true, research does indicate that meeting in-person, as opposed to swiping left, has better odds for a longterm, serious-romantic relationship. [💃 Madonna adds more LA dates to Celebration Tour] Like a Virgin...it was only appropriate with our previous copy. Back to Madonna: she is adding five new Los Angeles tour dates for her Celebration Tour. In addition to her original September 27th date at Crypto.com arena, Madonna has added the following for Crypto.com: September 27th (original), September 28th, September 30th, and October 1st. For Kia Forum: January 7th, and January 8th. Madonna's Celebration Tour celebrates forty years of hits during Madonna's career, with the tour kicking off in British Columbia. Tickets for the Kia Forum dates go on sale at 10:00am this upcoming Monday, January 30th. Madonna has already sold 600,000 tickets and sold out 36 shows prior to the tour's July kickoff.

[🏠 Hollywood opens new permanent supportive housing] PATH Villas, located just east of the 101-freeway at 5627 Fernwood Avenue, is now open to those individuals that qualify for permanent-supportive housing. This housing unit includes sixty apartments in-total, 59 for those that qualify for permanent housing, and one unit for an onsite manager. Rent for PATH Villas starts at $509 a month for a studio, $909 for a one bedroom apartment.

[🏛 Free museum entries for February | We Like LA] We Like LA has curated a list museums that have free admittance throughout the month of February. This list provides various times, locations and best museums to take advantage of for the month of February.

Yesterday, we asked: 'Los Angeles is known for its contributions to arts, entertainment, and Hollywood, as well as being home to CuratedLA. It is also known for its scientific discoveries. One of these discoveries is the modern way to accurately measure a specific speed, by standardizing the equation for measurement. Can you name which speed it is?' The answer: the speed of light.

Albert Michelson, a physicist from Poland, successfully measured the speed of light, providing today's current measurement of how the speed of light is measured. Michelson uncovered such accurate measurement in our own Mount Wilson Observatory, circa 1920s.

Today's question: In an effort to bring talent to Los Angeles, the Capitol Records building has been sending out 'secret messages,' and has been doing such since 1956. How are these messages sent?

• By using morse code with light

• By playing bells that echo throughout the Art's District

• By using smoke signals during certain occasions

• By tossing confetti out of high-top windows during festivals

[🍿Stranger Things was the most streamed show in 2022] Well, this doesn't seem too strange. Nielsen's year-end rankings were published yesterday, and the streaming viewership of Stranger Things put this Netflix series ahead of the others. For streaming in particular, Nielsen ranks content based off of minutes watched, and Stranger Things pulled in 52 billion minutes of watch time. This viewership allowed Stranger Things to become the second-highest most watched streaming show, or movie, since streaming measurements started taking place. The Office still holds on to their Dundie, having a collective 57 billion minutes watched back when Netflix aired the show during the pandemic year of 2020. 

[📺 Jimmy Kimmel celebrates twenty-years of late-night] Yesterday marked the twentieth year of Jimmy Kimmel Live, having an original airdate of January 26th, 2003. Great - we feel old. Kimmel claims that he was totally unprepared for Jimmy Kimmel Live. But prepared or not, Kimmel's TV show has become a staple of late-night for television: it has also been one of ABC's most popular shows. Over two decades, Kimmel has had his viewers chuckling at his annual Halloween candy pranks, to warming hearts with many unfiltered stories and memories. In appreciation of this twenty-year mark, Kimmel hosted his original guests from 2003, Snoop Dogg, Coldplay and George Clooney.
