[🎨 The busiest art week in Los Angeles is here] You will still have the chance to see nakedness if you don’t get lucky tonight: paintings in the nude will be all throughout Los Angeles, starting today with five art fairs, countless art gallery openings, events, talks, and more. The five art fairs that will be showing off their artists’ curations are:

  • Frieze Los Angeles: located at the Santa Monica Airport, Frieze is bringing more than 120 galleries to the Barker Hanger and a custom-built tent from WHY Architecture.

  • LA Art Show: in its 28th season, the LA Art Show will be held at the LA Convention Center. The Convention Center will host more than 120 galleries, including fourteen from South Korea, and six from Japan.

  • Felix Art Fair: The Hollywood Roosevelt will host Felix for its fifth time. And because its the Roosevelt, this art gallery had to go all out: cabana rooms with two Roosevelt floors of food, drinks, networking and the pool area, where the pool has been painted by artist David Hockney.

  • Photo Forward Los Angeles: this is a new fair, and it is taking over Bergamot Station’s Danzinger Gallery for two days. This gallery is free for both you and your good looking crew.

  • Spring/Break Art Show: Skylight Culver City will host sixty exhibitions curated by independent artists. This year’s Neo-Renaissance theme…..Naked Lunch.

A complete in-depth guide has been built by the talented folks over at The Hollywood Reporter for times, tickets, and the expert 3-2-3

[📖 Robots help us understand educational learning styles for children with autism] Researchers from the University of Southern California have developed an AI model that can recognize the cognitive and affective states of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to provide personalized feedback through socially assistive robots. This unique study, which analyzed and modeled the emotional states of seventeen children with ASD interacting with socially assistive robots, could lead to more effective robot tutors that are better tailored to the individual needs of children. The study found that the robot was able to improve the children’s maths skills by the end of the month and also detect their engagement with 90% accuracy. The aim of the research is to design more capable models to help children with autism get the support they need

Let’s revisit a couple of great Valentines Day articles that we shared last month

[🍇We found grub in a hungry place. We found grub in a hunnngrryyy placee...] Are you trying to find love this Valentine's Day? Aren't we all. A new article from LA Mag says that we could be missing opportunities to find serious romantic connections at local grocery stores. Christina Web, a professional dating coach, created the event Shop & Shag after noticing an odd trend of folks meeting a high-end grocery stores, staying in-touch and then smooching. Web's Shop & Shag events are hosted at all eight Erewhon Market locations found throughout Los Angeles, where an average smoothie can run you $19.00. It is true, research does indicate that meeting in-person, as opposed to swiping left, has better odds for a longterm, serious-romantic relationship. And it is also true that we are shutting down the CuratedLA newsletter: come join us at all Subway sandwich shop locations for Get Naughtayy at Subwayy. <---link takes you to the LA Mag article mentioned, not a Get Naughtayy at Subwayy event page.

[❤️️ Top-ten places to smooch and stuff] Found that someone special for Valentine's Day but don't know where to go? Our friends at NBC curated a list of top-ten attractive and affordable places for Valentine's Day. From Virginia Robinson Gardens, a night ride on Echo Park's swan boats, mini golf and arcade games at Sherman Oaks Castle Park, a bonfire at Dockweiler Beach, a scenic drive and picnic at Universal City Overlook, and sweet treats at Beignet Box or Café de Olla, this list should have you and yours covered...so you can both end this special night under the covers
