  • 🚇️ SEPULVEDA TRANSIT: Sepulveda Transit Corridor Partners has announced a collaboration with Stadler Rail Cars and Siemens Mobility for their proposed heavy rail subway project along the I-405 and Sepulveda corridor. The render above shows the potential design that could be approved and voted on. Stadler will design and build the rail cars, while Siemens Mobility will handle the driverless Metro system technology, joining a team that includes Meridiam, Bechtel, and American Triple I. The service will connect San Fernando Valley to the Westside, potentially reducing travel time to less than twenty-minutes and offering commuters an alternative to the congested 405 freeway.

  • 🏨 GLENDALE: A new chapter is unfolding at the former Burger King site on Central Avenue in Downtown Glendale as Hotel Indigo is set to rise. The segment will be complemented by a pre-recorded segment showcasing his journey from Paris to Los Angeles, culminating in a skydiving descent onto the iconic Hollywood sign. The segment, filmed in secrecy back in March, features Cruise interacting with various athletes as he hands over the flag, including a cyclist, skateboarder, and volleyball player. Shohei Ohtani added to the excitement with a late-game homer, while Tyler Glasnow struck out nine batters, showcasing his prowess on the mound. This win marked a much-needed turnaround for the Dodgers, snapping a four-game losing streak against the Phillies and solidifying their position as NL West leaders.   • ⚾️ ANGELS 3, METS 2: Griffin Canning delivered a stellar performance, securing his first win in six weeks as the Angels edged the New York Mets 3-2 on Sunday. With key contributions from Matt Thaiss and Kevin Pillar, who each drove in runs with sacrifice flies, the Angels not only clinched the series but also knocked the Mets out of playoff contention. The bullpen shone brightly, allowing just two hits over four scoreless innings, highlighted by Roansy Contreras earning his second save in a pressure-packed ninth inning.
