The six winning startups of the Starburst Aerospace Care in Space Challenge, which recently awarded them a $100,000 investment, are developing healthcare products for space-related exploration that could be key to ensuring there are no mass casualties. Vibo Health and NanoPharma Solutions, two local startups among the winners, are developing wearable health tracking technology and drugs with a nano-coating method to improve biosorption respectively

📆 Weekend Guide: We Like L.A.’s Things To Do This Weekend in L.A. [3-10-2023 to 3-12-2023]
🍷 Sur Le Vert: A Wine-Fueled Revolution in Beverly Hills Dining: Beverly Hills just got a new spot for wining and dining, thanks to wine-loving hospitality veterans Zach Negin and Nicole Dougherty. The dynamic duo quickly turned around the downstairs cafe and transformed it into Sur Le Vert, a fresh addition to the city's wave of cool projects. Expect surprising dishes like crudos, charcuterie boards, salads, and heartier options like seared chicken sandwiches and dry-aged NY strip steaks. And of course, they're pouring from a global list of small, family-run wine producers. Sur Le Vert is now open Tuesday to Sunday from 11:00am to 10:00pm
🚧 Road closures this weekend for Oscars celebration: Your friendly reminder that lights, cameras, and hopefully no physical action, will be happening at the Oscars this weekend, specifically Dolby Theatre. Road closures have been planned in advance, affecting areas around Hollywood and Highland. Here is a PDF of the full planned closures to keep in-handy. #YoureWelcome

🧻 The Clippers Arena is going to be flush: The Los Angeles Clippers are building a new arena, and owner Steve Ballmer is flush with excitement about one particular feature: toilets. At the construction ceremony, Ballmer couldn't contain his enthusiasm for the 1,160 toilets and urinals - three times the NBA average. "We do not want people waiting in line," he exclaimed. And with that, the crowd roared, the memes began, and social media exploded. The Intuit Dome is set to open in time for the 2024-25 season, and one thing's for sure: fans won't have to hold it in:
La Clippers owner Steve Ballmer fired up about one of the Intuit Dome’s signature features: “Toilets! 1,160 toilets and urinals! Three times the NBA average! … We do not want people waiting around. We want them back to their d—- seats.”

🎉 CuratedLA Collective was announced yesterday as we want you to find that dream career. Because you’re worth it, you L'Oréal celebrity, you..
What is CuratedLA Collective?
An exclusive job board for CuratedLA that consists of Los Angeles and Remote Work careers, based on filters within certain business sectors that we’ve identified of interest.
Who can use it?
Job-seekers, brands that reach out to us, and those leading brands that have already partnered with CuratedLA as sourced by Pallet, the company behind this genius idea.
How does this work?
Job-seekers have free access to CuratedLA Collective after being approved.
Brands can connect with talent by sending an intro request to a candidate, which gets forwarded by the community lead.
If the candidate accepts, the two parties can start conversations within separate email exchanges.
Ok, where is this job board?
To ensure that you can view this entire CuratedLA newsletter without having to exit prematurely due to your boss's presence, we have strategically placed CuratedLA Collective just before our contact information; almost the very bottom of this newsletter. This also serves a design purpose.
Note: you must subscribe to CuratedLA prior to being approved.
And speaking of design: be on the lookout for more partner swag, specifically collaborative-events within our city, staring next week.
And further speaking of design: thank you all for being patient with us on these great new features. It’ll be back to the digital board of design after these new apps are implemented. It’s too long right now.

Reddit user ‘Kind-Base6336’ posted this picture yesterday within /r/LosAngeles.
Kind-Base6336, whose first name is Emin, informed us that he saw the duck inside a Downtown Wendy’s [800 S. Figueroa St] and that this coy, kind of bizzare comfort, happened around 8:30pm.
A couple hours after Emin posted this picture, a Reddit user pointed out a Los Angeles Times article of Autumn, a woman that is homeless, and the love of her emotional support animal, a duck named Cardi D.
Throughout the article, Autumn states how Cardi D., and other ducks that she has had prior, have helped her journey in that of recovery from alcoholism (we are all for recovery 🙏 )
And it seems that recovery is working well for Autumn, thanks to Cardi D:
*Note: the Los Angeles Times article contains topics that might be triggering to some.
Walking with her feels like being part of a celebrity entourage, she says, with newly minted fans flocking for a closer look.
