good news alert:
***cue Today Show intro***
Good morning everyone! Garrett’s Mom here with a good news alert.
Late last night, Garrett, Wyatt and I decided to provide everyone seeing this message with an avenue to do community together. And into the early morning, after removing bugs, we implemented an online community board, which we are calling, ‘Surfboard’
Wyatt made it as easy as possible to signup, and is it completely free to start posting. Wyatt has also hyperlinked each newsletter section, which can be seen throughout today’s newsletter. Clicking section hyperlinks will allow you to surf with other neighbors in that particular conversational topic.
We believe that this can help strengthen our community, both online and in-person.
Aubrey Plaza, you’re even invited:

🌀 What we should expect for Tropical Storm Eugene: The remnants of Tropical Storm Eugene should be happening outside by the time you open this favorite newsletter of yours, and continuing into tomorrow night. Tropical Storm Eugene was centered several hundred miles off of the northern Pacific Coast of Mexico’s Baja Peninsula with sustained winds of thirty-five miles per hour. We can expect light precipitation and cooler temperatures. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible tonight through tomorrow night. Ventura County could also see some isolated flooding and minor debris flow. TL;DR: we are so hot in LA that Mother Nature is having to cool us down.
💃 REMINDER: She’s here: Tonight is the last United States Eras Stop, and it is happening in our own SoFi Stadium. Our curated Eras Guide allows for all of us to enjoy Taylor Swift’s last SoFi show, both inside-and-outside of the arena. being in LA, both inside-and-outside of SoFi:

📊 LA Foodie live-tracking restaurants with service charges: LA Foodies have curated a Google Sheet that lists various restaurants with service charges. The sheet notes restaurant names, neighborhoods, surcharge percentages, and often live or frequently updated noted commentary from restaurant servers. It also includes how the restaurants that those servers work at are allocating those unwanted fees being funneled off to the paying customer
🐖 Bludso’s BBQ in Santa Monica: It’s been packed with customers since it opened. The restaurant is known for its authentic BBQ and specialty brisket which is moist, smoky, and tender. The pork ribs are also good but the ratio of meat to fat is not exactly fine-tuned the way some people like it yet. The restaurant also serves baked beans and fried okra which we hear are excellent
🌮 All aboard for tacos. From Long Beach to Azusa, let’s get tapping: Amazing tacos can be found along the smooth-riding trails of The Metro A Line track, which runs almost fifty miles from the Heart of Long Beach to Azusa. Those that choo-choo as patrons will have the opportunity to chew-chew over fish tacos from the shoreline in Long Beach, to the masa packed with huitlacoche and cactus in Pasadena
GOD. FAMILY. FOOTBALL.
