🌲 The Wright State of Mind: Garrett, Wyatt and I escaped the LA heat this weekend and headed to Wrightwood, a charming mountain town that feels like a slice of the east coast. We enjoyed the cool breeze and the family atmosphere exploring the many attractions that Wrightwood has to offer. Here are just some of the highlights:
🧗 Ziplining: One of the most thrilling activities in Wrightwood is ziplining at Pacific Crest, soaring through the treetops while enjoying the stunning view of the San Gabriel mountains and valleys. There are three tours to choose from: Zipline Canopy Tour (3.5 hours), Zipline Mountain View Tour (2.5), and the All Day Zipline Adventure. The All Day Zipline Adventure is both tours combined with lunch included —
🥾 Hiking: Wrightwood is surrounded by beautiful nature trails that are perfect for hiking, biking, or horseback riding. There are trails for all skill levels and lengths, from easy strolls to challenging climbs. Some of Wrightwood’s most popular trails are: the Blue Ridge Trail, the Acorn Trail, and the Mount Baden-Trail. Other Wrightwood trails stretch from Mexico to Canada —
🏂️ Skiing + Snowboarding: Those that visit Wrightwood in the winter, one of the village’s most popular seasons, shouldn’t pass up the opportunity to ski and snowboard at Mountain High Resort, one of the closest ski resorts to LA. The resort has three separate areas with different terrain and difficulty levels, as well as snow tubing and snow play areas for kids —
🥧 Dining: Wrightwood has a lot of options for dining, from a casual (and comfortable) bite, to a fine-romantic meal. We enjoyed the Evergreen Cafe & Racoon Salon, which had a cozy atmosphere and delicious food. We also liked the Village Grind, a fond name of a coffee shop we love in Greenville, SC, which had great coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and salads.
🛍️ Shopping: There are many unique shopping opportunities in Wrightwood:
🎣 Mountain Hardware: A hardware store that sells camping gear, fishing supplies, snow chains, and much more —
🧥 Alice’s Vintage Cottage: A vintage shop with fur coats, home decor, jewelry boxes and more —
🍎 Applewood Court: A cute store that sells Yankee Candles and Heritage Lace, but is a place to get ice cream, candy and homemade fudge —
💯 Wrightwood is also home to more Mom + Pop-style shops that you and your crew will love checking out —
These are just some of the things to do in Wrightwood that we enjoyed during our stay. There are many more activities and attractions to discover in this hidden gem of a mountain town. It’s an easy summer escape, not too far from LA, and totally feels like a different world. I’d recommend Wrightwood as a very near future destination, I promise that you won’t regret it. And I am a Mom, I have good instincts.
💃 REMINDER: She’s here: There are only two more concerts left at SoFi Stadium. Our curated Eras Guide allows for all of us to enjoy Taylor Swift being in LA, both inside-and-outside of SoFi:

They’ve got it all, folks: BBQ skewers, boat noodles, pad thai, papaya salad, coconut pancakes, and much more. The weekend food court is open from 8am - 7pm but get there early before they run out of faves —
🍕 Apollonia’s Pizza: A Reddit user recently posted some good looking leftovers from Central LA’s Apollonia’s Pizza. I’m waiting until they open to swing-by and get the boys some pizza while they work on today’s newsletter —
