[ 🛒 Costco is coming to Baldwin Village] The previous site of Baldwin Village's View Park Community Hospital will become an apartment complex with a Costco. In addition to a Costco, this five-acre property will house 800-apartment units, 184 of those apartments will be for residents that qualify for low-income housing. The Costco is expected to bring close to 400 jobs, and the property itself is located less than a half-a-mile from Metro's Expo/La Brea Station on the E-Line. [ 🇮🇹 All'antico Vinaio's two-day pop-up] Italian sandwich shop All'antico Vinaio will have a pop-up shop at the Mazza2Go location in Hollywood (6610 Melrose Ave) for two days this month, January 28th and 29th from 11:00am to 2:30pm. They previously visited the area in 2019 due to tastebud demand and are making their return for a short time. But if you miss the opportunity to chow on some of their Italian grub, don't worry: there are rumors that they will open a permanent shop on the West Coast during the spring of this year.

[ 🏡 James and Carolyn Shifflett's and their home] A user on the website Reddit, 'j3434,' recently posted a photo of James and Carolyn Shifflett in front of their home in the Sugar Hill/West Adams neighborhood. The photo was taken in 1947 and is significant because the Shiffletts were the first Black couple to move to the Sugar Hill/West Adams area in that year. More information about the couple's background can be found in a 1985 Los Angeles Times article, and the picture can be found on Los Angeles' Subreddit.

[ 🦄 A new community center for LGBTQ+] A new community center for the LGBTQ+ Community opened up this past weekend. DTLA PROUD's A+R+T Center is located at The Bloc and serves as a community center that focuses on Accessibility + Representation + Thrive [A+R+T]. The center houses an art gallery, a queer marketplace, a queer library, community room and co-working space.

[ 🏈 Coach Anthony Lynn finds peace in San Francisco] Former Los Angeles Chargers Head Football Coach Anthony Lynn seems to be at peace in San Francisco. Prior to joining the 49ers, Lynn served as the Chargers' Head Football Coach from 2017 - 2020. Coach Lynn then made a brief stint as Detroit Lions' Offensive Coordinator in 2021 before being hired by the San Francisco 49ers as their Running Backs Coach and Assistant Coach in 2022. 'I look forward to coming here [San Francisco] every day,' Lynn recently told the Los Angeles Times. Coach Lynn, we are glad to see that you are happy as a Californian.

[ Clippers play in Utah, Kings come to the King] Paul George returned to the Clippers' lineup last night after a hamstring injury kept him out for five games. George was able to see a collective 29-minutes of action against the Philadelphia 76ers, producing thirteen points, eight rebounds and four assists. George's return was not enough to pave way for a Clippers victory as the Philadelphia 76ers won by ten, 120- 110. The Clippers will play against the Utah Jazz tonight in Utah, while the Sacramento Kings will play against our Los Angeles Lakers at the Crypto.com Arena, both games at 6:00pm and 7:30pm respectively.

[ 🎬 Sally Field to be honored with SAG Lifetime Achievement] Sally Field, a native of Pasadena, is set to receive the SAG-AFTRA Lifetime Achievement Award, the organization's highest honor. This award is given to a select group of individuals for their outstanding career achievements and humanitarian efforts. Field, known for her roles in films such as Norma Rae, Places in the Heart, Lincoln, Forrest Gump, Steel Magnolias, and Mrs. Doubtfire, will receive the award at the 29th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on February 26th. Field has previously won two Oscars, three Emmys, and two BAFTA awards among other notable accolades.

[🏅Sundance titles that were Hollywood game changers] Tomorrow kicks off the 44th annual Sundance Film Festival. This Utah festival has been celebrated by many in Hollywood and has helped actors, actresses, crew and directors alike find their way to stardom. In honor of tomorrow's event, the A.V. Club has listed twenty titles from Sundance that are said to be game changers in Hollywood.
