🥾 Hearts pumpin’, hiking boots a thumpin': It’s Wednesday, so let’s get that cardio up, in the perfect LA way: hearts bumping, hiking boots a thumpin’. Our city is home to numerous parks and paths, with enough trails for both the seasoned hiker, and those hikers with less seasoned experience. But regardless of skill set, all of these hiking trails have one thing in common: stunning views. And fun fact: did you know that taking in panoramic views can help reduce anxiety? We didn’t either. But we can guarantee that you'll feel a deep sense of peace and relaxation after scrolling through these awesome trail snaps and insider tips

💳️ Your library card roars: The Los Angeles Public Library is going wild with a limited-edition card. This special card is a tribute to P-22, the infamous mountain lion who showed us that even in the concrete jungle, nature still has a place. Thanks to legendary Steve Winter and National Geographic, the card will feature an image of P-22 himself. The special edition P-22 card will be available at all Los Angeles Public Library locations today, so pounce on this opportunity as soon as you can

👕 A what? A free clothing store?: Los Angeles City College has opened a free clothing store called Cubby's Closet for students on campus. The store helps students save money, dress up for interviews and events, and avoid contributing to fast fashion. All the clothes are donated, and the idea came from LACC student body president Elizabeth Yamasaki, who used to work in a Beverly Hills clothing store. The store offers a wide range of clothes, and students can put together an outfit for free. The store has a store-like feel and has already served over 100 shoppers in its first two weeks

⚜️ More Mardi Gras at The Gumbo Boys: The Gumbo Boys, a family-run operation, has returned to Downtown LA, and this time with a permanent location in the former Meatzilla building. They first made their mark in early 2018 as a sidewalk pop-up serving classic Creole-Cajun dishes and have since expanded their menu to include red beans, jambalaya, po' boys, and fried seafood platters. They even have a range of Southern desserts, including beignets and pecan praline, from the youngest member of the Harris family, Elizabeth, dubbed Sissy's Sweets

🏀 Westbrook back in LA: Russell Westbrook is back, but this time he's donning a Clippers jersey. After completing a buyout with the Utah Jazz, Westbrook joins a Clippers team with championship aspirations and a familiar face in former teammate Paul George. Apparently, the Clippers' officials were sold on Westbrook's playmaking, rebounding, and toughness, as well as his willingness to fit into a specific role

The Beatles and Stones have a long history of friendly rivalry, with occasional collaborations over the years. Although it remains to be seen which tracks will make the final cut, we can expect to hear legendary founding drummer Charlie Watts, who passed away in 2021, on the new album
