- Storytelling Series
Sharing your story on CuratedLA is free. The purpose of our storytelling series is to provide a snapshot overview of how we in L.A. have more similarities than that of differences, regardless of one’s personal life.
From those individuals living on our streets in L.A., to public A-list profiles, our CuratedLA Storytelling series provides an important picture of the many diverse viewpoints that our city has to offer. These stories are also done organically as we provide the Curating Storyteller with a final draft prior to publication, tailoring anything at the Curator’s request.
THE QUESTIONS WE ASK
Every individual that we interview receives the same list of pre-populated questions:
What is your name?
What do you believe is the most interesting fact about yourself?
How long have you been in Los Angeles?
What is your background?
What are your hobbies?
What are you reading? Watching?
What is a phrase, or day-to-day mentality that you try to live by?
Where is your favorite Los Angeles morning hangout spot?
Where is your favorite Los Angeles evening hangout spot?
How would you describe Los Angeles?
How would Los Angeles describe you?
RECENT EXAMPLES:
Tyler Denk: a hyper-focused entrepreneur, co-founder, and physics nerd with unstoppable drive
David Alvarez: always a father and a community pillar, no matter what
Max Wittert: a comedian and illustrator with a ‘whatever’ mentality

The interview: can be conducted at a local coffee shop, but often takes place via a recorded forty-five minute phone call
Photography: if possible, photography is provided by the Curating Storyteller. This photography is not filtered, and all rights are given to their respective owner(s)
Prior to final publish: We provide a final draft to the Curator, or their team, of what we plan on publishing, making the necessary requests that are asked.
No TMZ: nope, we are not into gossip. We tell the story of the Curating Storyteller, directly from the person that knows their story best, the Curator.
